Blueberry Festival Opening Ceremonies

About this event

Taking place at the Town Beach from 3:30-6pm. Featuring face painting, free balloons, speeches, Kenora Scottish Pipes & Drums performance, entertainment by Edible Rex, presentation of the Jack McKenzie Memorial Award, and the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon and cake.

"The Blueberry Festival Committee is pleased to be celebrating the 30th Annual Blueberry Festival in the year of the Sioux Lookout Centennial. The theme for this year’s Blueberry Festival will be 'Hometown Heroes.' We have chosen this theme because we would like to honour and celebrate the people who have worked so hard to make our community what it is today. In light of Sioux Lookout’s Centennial, the Blueberry Festival Committee would like to take this opportunity to encourage a sense of civic pride within Sioux Lookout that can be carried on in the years to come. Come out to celebrate with us and honour your Hometown Heroes August 3 - 12, 2012”
