Random Acts of Fun!!

It is exactly that, RANDOM, at Giant Tiger, throughout the entire Blueberry Festival!! You never know when the fun will happen. At Giant Tiger, when you hear, "It is time for RAOF", that is your que to join in. There will be games, trivia, lip sync challenge, scavenger hunt, prizes and more!!

Blueberry Week at the Hub

Discover Sioux Lookout's roots! Pick up a tour booklet at the Travel Information Centre and start your journey into the past. It has genealogical information highlighting stories of several Sioux Lookout residents who helped shape our community. Come to Drayton Cash and Carry between July 29th and August 7th, pick up a sheet, read the rules' figure out the locations and then make your moves. Lowest score is the way to go! Blueberry Inspired Food and Drinks

The Forest Bar & Grill is planning to serve blueberry-infused food and cocktails (e.g. pies, wings, burgers..) throughout Blueberry Festival from 5 pm to 10 pm. Come on in!!!

The Joint Food Trailer

Ladies' Blueberry Open Golf Tournament

Flighted single day golf tournament beginning at 7am at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club. Will be a super-fun day of golf! Dinner is provided. Registration closes on Wednesday July 27th. For more information call 807-737-1800

3D 2nd Annual Baseball Tournament

Day 1 of Slo-pitch mixed tournament, begins at 8am at the Sioux Lookout Ball Diamonds July 30th - August 1st. It is open to the first 16 teams to register (youth under 17yrs.). Entry Fee is $500 (to hold your spot a deposit is required). For more information contact Carolyn at 807-738-0804

Blueberry Beach Volleyball Coed 4's Tournament

Our annual Coed 4's Tournament returns for 2022! It will be at the Forest Inn Beach Court at 9am. Teams must have at least 1 member of the opposite sex on the court at all times. Registration is $20 per player. For more information contact Anthony at anthony.roberts@live.ca

Largest Blueberry (by weight)

Head out into the bush and pick some blueberries. Bring the biggest one you find to RX Drug Mart, between 9am and 3pm, and we will weigh it for you. A $50 gift card will be given for the heaviest blueberry! For more information call 807-737-3434

ALL MEDIA 'Nature is Art' Contest

This is a art contest devoted to nature. Submit your media (photo, painting, sculpture..) to friendsofcedarbay@gmail.com or come out Saturday to the Cedar Bay Pavilion, from 10am - 1pm and we will help you create! supplies will be provided.

2022 Sioux Lookout Firefighter's Kid's Day Parade

The event starts at the Fire Hall at noon. Decorated bikes will be judged and a parade to Sioux Mountain Soccer Field will follow. Races and games for different ages will be held and prizes given. For more information contact Terry at 807-738-1577.

Nomad Mobile Laser Tag

This event will be set up at Queen Elizabeth High School's soccer field from 12pm - 6pm. $10/person per game or $20/person for 3 games. Up to 12 players per game and may combine groups when necessary. Follow our Facebook page for pre-registration announcements. 

The Hub Collective Coffee Tasting

Come by the Hub Roastery between 2pm and 4pm to get a behind the scenes look at where our coffee comes from. Taste coffees from right here in Northwestern Ontario. Taste the difference in the cup

Sioux Looks Out for Paws Animal Rescue Walk

This walk with your pet(s) will help raise funds for Sioux Looks Out For Paws Animal Rescue. Pledge forms are available at the Travel Information Centre. Walk starts at the Town Beach from 11am-2pm. Walk the distance comfortable with you and your pet(s). Refreshments for walkers and pets will be provided afterwards. Prizes for different categories will be given. Sioux Lottery Blueberry Bocce Tournament

Cedar Bay Stable's Lost Treasure

There is lost treasure at the Cedar Bay Stable! Bring your family from 1pm-3pm and help the riders solve clues to find the treasure. Bring your camera to take picture with the riders and the horses.

LGBTQ2S+ Pride Celebration Parade

Join SLMHC's MHAP program for celebrating diversity and inclusivity at our Pride Parade at 11am, walking from St. Andrew's United Church to the Town Beach. Bring family, friends and pets and dress in your best Pride colours. There will be a prize for the most colourful outfit and cake for everyone. Little Obie, the CNR train 

Canadian National Railway is bringing in the Little Obie from Toronto and CN Police will be present too for this event.
